About Us
filmfest316.com is your Christian short film festival and film maker community. With the increased popularity of online video upload / streaming sites, our developers recognize the impact this has on today’s society. We feel the need to promote quality positive video content for these new avenues of distribution and to positively effect the future of information and entertainment channels.
filmfest316.com is a place for groups and individuals alike to meet, communicate, and share in a like minded forum. Our hope is to grow this community into an effective tool for today’s Christian film makers.
We are currently in our beta / start up stage. As we grow and increase the number of subscribers we hope to introduce our short film festival. This festival will allow members to view and vote on submitted films. Winners will be announced at our online awards show.
We need your help! The community can only grow through your support. Join now and upload your videos, create custom groups, and share your ideas and information with others. Why filmfest316.com?
As a Christian short film community, it seemed only logical to select 316 as a reminder of Christ’s love for us as revealed in the significant chapter 3 verse 16 from the gospel of John (John 3:16). Though we will accept video’s of any length on our site, when the time comes for submitting films to be voted on by the active members for the short film festival, these films must fall between 3 min. 00 sec. and 3 min. 16 sec.
We realize that there are many other sites where you can share video content. However, we know it is easy to get lost in the clutter of these sites. That is why we felt the necessity to create this site dedicated to the promotion of quality, positive video / film content creation. Upload, share and learn here at filmfest316.com. What Types of Films Should Be Submitted?
Post only original works. That is, items that you have produced. Films submitted to this site should be free of negative, non-Christ like images and messages. Films can contain direct Christian messages and images. However, this is not necessary as long as they promote positive Christian values in their scope. Comedy, Drama, Action, Documentary, Animation, Music Videos and any other category you may come up with are acceptable for upload. However, a specific list of categories will be selected for voting in the film festival awards.
We realize that many people with different backgrounds will desire to participate in this site. As such, we ask that you respect differing beliefs and views and refrain from posting comments that would place these in a negative light. Remember, love one another even as Christ has loved us.
What Not to Submit
Copyright protected material is not permitted. As Christians, it is important that we not participate in the act of stealing the intellectual properties of others. It’s against the law and not something we at filmfest316.com wish to promote. If you are in question about whether you have the permission to use a particular item …. then you likely don’t have permission. This includes, music, scripts, voices, images (moving or still) , software or any other item that you do not have the express permission to use by the copy right holder.
Films with profanity, nudity, excessive violence, explicit adult themes, or any other non-Christ like items should not be submitted to this site.
We rely on the help of the filmfest316 community to flag any questionable items for review by the filmfest316 staff. If deemed unacceptable by the staff such films will be deleted and a warning sent to the posting member. Second offences will be cause for immediate suspension of offenders account without refund of membership fees. |

Site Developers
The concept of filmfest316.com was developed by a small group of friends who believe that positive impact in the world community can be made by those who are willing to take action. This small group has developed this site through their own resources and are depending on the support of the filmfest316 community and interested sponsors. Future plans include developing a non-profit Christian Film Foundation to raise funds for film making projects and a Christian Film Institute for education.
